delivered non-functioning server [ Posted on 17 September 2004 ]

apache.conf was corrupted. techsupport did nothing to resolve the issue for over 13 hours. After that, I fixed it myself and cancelled the account because if they are this bad when they should be on their best behavior they will be even worse in an emergency situation. Of course they wont refund my setup or monthly charge. Unethical and inept. I repointed my domain away from them but the ip is mine until the end of the month.

Setup of the server is not the fastest in the world. Took over 2 days to get may server and the support dont give much help when you are trying to find out what is going on.

I have found ServerMatrix's support to be far better than my former dedicated provider (ServerBeach). Their server prices are great. I was able to get more bandwidth, a faster server with 10 - 1Gigbit connections to the internet at a lower price per month aswell. This was the best move I have made all year.
