| I've been with them for about 2 years. I only host a few private sites there. I would say I get an average of 97% uptime, which is not great, but ok for a private site. Now, my site has been up and down for over a week and it took another week to get all things back to work (MySQL, Virtual Directory, etc). Support always reacts to my emails in 24h and the issues are normally fixed afterwards, but do not expect them to detect issues by themself. They are good for playing around with stuff since they have MySQL, PHP and ASP, but don't host anything professional there. |

| They have no accountability. If somthing doesn't work (email, dns) it's a game of chance weather they will fix it or just ignore you. IM support doesnt give you a name and will routinely dissappear while they are helping you. No consitancy: I had nameservers change ON me which broke all my accounts. All of the servers my clients were sending email from were blacklisted. They upgraded my shell accounts and changed permissions on all my files. They perform radical changes to the server without ever notifying users. The tech support is from some ex soviet block state and they are some times nice somtimes rude and dont speak very good english so it's difficult to convey complicated ideas to them. They ARE cheap, so if you have a website that you DO NOT care about they are perfect for you. If I can save one struggling webmaster like myself the hours of hair pulling, horrible stress, tears and guilt then this post was worth it. - I don't want to suggest you move to any other hosting provider wihtout thoroughly checking it out first. My solution post hostony was half my clients went to a hosting provider in LA called media temple, (so far after much research and testing they ahve been 100% stable and their email is good. The other half of my clients went to a shared server i purchased and hosted ina colocated environment. This is not a bad solution for a webmaster if you get enough paying clients to suppport it. | They are efficient, fast, with good technical support . They are prompt and reliable. I have used their technical support so many times - I thought they will get sick of me!! but no they were always there often replying the same day with advice and or solutions. Thank you Hostony. |
